Lampworking is a type of glasswork that was developed and practiced in Italy, in the 14th century. This traditional technique uses a torch to melt and shape glass. There’s a key step right at the end of the process, and there’s where we help you: the annealing. This is the process of slowly cooling down the glass to avoid thermal shock. The lampworking kilns temperature, of course, will depend on the type of glass. Generally, as this is a slow process, this step takes all night. Our lampworking kilns have the optimal system to adapt the temperature to whatever type of glass you’re working with, in order to preserve your masterpiece.
